The Project

This beachside bar balustrade design needed a creative twist. It combined an enhanced version of our Essential balustrade system, expertly integrated with a Rooftrak waterproofing setup.

After a successful site visit to review plans and take measurements, we designed, secured approval for, and installed the balustrade.

The Plan

The client specified a ROOFTRAK system for this project to maintain a waterproof structure while ensuring a secure and reliable fixing for the balustrade system.

The client was responsible for installing the ROOFTRAK bases, necessary for each balustrade post, before we began our installation work.

The Spec

  • 316 Grade Stainless Steel –48.3mm Dia.
  • Mirror Polished Finish
  • 17.5mm clear toughened & laminated glass
  • Upto 1.5kN/m loadings
  • Designed in accordance with BS 6180 : 2011

The Execution

With the ROOFTRAK bases installed and weatherproofed by the client, the balustrade posts could be quickly screwed into the pre-threaded bosses. This resulted in a fast, seamless installation.

The glass was then secured using durable clamps for a sturdy finish. The highly polished 316-grade stainless steel provides a long-lasting and durable shine. It enhanced the rooftop bar’s curb appeal with a sleek and modern look.

After deciding to put a balustrade around the patio in our garden to make it grandchildren safe could not find a system we liked from local suppliers, went online and found the Pink Sand group, from my initial enquiry with rough measurements through to the design and delivery the whole team at Pink Sands have been amazing resolving issues and communicating through the entire process cannot fault anything and we are so pleased with the results.

I recently purchased a glass and stainless steel balustrade from this company for my new decking area.
From my enquiry to delivery they were an absolute delight to deal with.,
They did everything they promised and at a very competitive rate .
In my experience very rare today to get such five star service from anyone anymore.
I am absolutely delighted with the product , its quality and it adds the finishing touch to my new decking area . Excellent.

I worked with Pink Sand Group on quite a large job for a friend, where they supplied stainless steel balustrading and associated glazing. I found their guys most helpful at each every stage, from initially helping me schedule the quantities, providing advice on technical issues (particularly in relation to the balustrading assembly, drilling and tapping etc.), and also in sorting the logistics of delivery to an awkward location. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

From start to finish from the first time i walked into the office absolutely amazing service from mark and the team with a very quick turnaround with nothing but great workmanship , marks knowledge was second to non helping with with everything and all the specs for the building control , delivery was great , had to call a couple of times for advice and the team didn’t hesitate to help me at all , and the communication was great , hoping to get more jobs so can use this company again , Thankyou ! What a great and personable company to deal with on our project for a stainless, wired balustrade. Not a straight forward configuration and a tweak was needed at because of a cosmetic change at our end, but the process of making the change was speedy & painless. A great product, excellent quality and my contractor says straight forward to install. Delivery and timetable was kept to. It was a pleasure to deal with a professional company.
